Technology helps your Delta Straight Smile dentist to plan your Invisalign treatment, and create custom aligners to precisely fit your teeth. Here's more about the technology we use throughout your Invisalign treatment.
How Technology Helps Inform Your Treatment
iTero
When you visit our Straight Smile dentists for your initial Invisalign consultation, your dentist will use the iTero intraoral scanner to take detailed 3D digital images of your teeth, mouth and jaw. The iTero scanner means that you won't need to undergo the goopy mess that sometimes comes along with creating traditional plaster molds of your teeth.
The iTero scanner takes an incredible 6000 images per second when scanning your teeth. Giving your dentist and the Invisalign technicians a high-resolution, interactive, image of your oral structures.
ClinCheck Software
ClinCheck software provides your dentist with tools to map out your Invisalign treatment path to a straighter smile. Right from your very first aligner to your last, ClinCheck allows your dentist to plan each tooth movement using the 3D visual interface. ClinCheck gives your dentist the ability to customize your orthodontic treatment.
ClinCheck software uses algorithms to help calculate just the right amount of force to facilitate each tooth movement, to help ensure that every tooth will be moved in the right order and at the right time
Your iTero scans and personalized treatment plan are sent to the Invisalign manufacturing facility where every one of your aligners will be custom made to gradually move your teeth into their desired positions. With Invisalign, each aligner is unique, designed specifically to shift only targeted teeth, and is based on your personalized treatment plan.
Created with Your Comfort in Mind
Invisalign aligners were designed with your comfort in mind. Your aligners are made from Invisalign's specially engineered SmartTrack material. SmartTrack was designed to help give Invisalign aligners a great fit, as well as improved comfort. SmartTrack also helps to make Invisalign aligners easy to remove and pop back into place.
Your gumline is unique to your smile. That's why each Invisalign aligner in your treatment series is individually trimmed to help your aligners fit, look, and feel better.
Checked for Fit
Once your aligners have been created they will be sent to your dentist. When you visit our office to pickup your aligners your dentist will take the time to ensure that your they fit correctly. Your dentist will also take the time to review your treatment plan and answer any questions you may have about your Invisalign treatment.
